John M. Sullivan, a director in the firm's Concord office, practices in corporate law, commercial finance, general business matters and bankruptcy, where he represents both lenders and borrowers. John represents several of the area's larger manufacturing concerns, and has had confirmed several Chapter 11 reorganization plans.
He received the New Hampshire Bar Association 1993 President's Award for outstanding service to the poor, and is listed in the
The Best Lawyers in America in both the Bankruptcy Law and Corporate Law categories. John is also certified by The American Board of Certification (ABC) in Business Bankruptcy.
As a past member of the Concord City Council, John was appointed by the current Mayor of Concord to serve on the City's Personnel Appeals Board. In 1994, he was appointed by the First Circuit Judicial Conference to the Bankruptcy Merit Selection Panel for New Hampshire. In 1996, he was appointed by the Governor to serve as a member of the New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority.
John graduated from Bowdoin College in 1978 and from Washington and Lee University Law School in 1981, where he was a member of the Law Review.
