Preti Flaherty Litigation Practice Group Adds Three New Attorneys

Preti Flaherty is pleased to announce the addition of three experienced Associates to the firm’s Litigation Practice Group: Michael Hanify, Hanna May, and Tiffany Ottenga.

Michael Hanify is a graduate of Boston College Law School and Boston College. While at BC Law, he was senior editor of the Boston College Law Review and held internships at a criminal defense firm in Lexington, Massachusetts, and on the Superior Court Trial Team in the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office. Michael also was a summer associate in litigation at a prominent Boston law firm, and was a Supreme Judicial Court Student Attorney in the Boston College Legal Services LAB. Following law school, Michael served as a law clerk to the Hon. George A. O’Toole, Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. He joins Preti Flaherty’s Portland office after four years at notable law firms in Boston and Portland.

Hanna May is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law and Cornell University. While at UNH Law, where she earned J.D. and LL.M. degrees, she held internships at Calvin Klein in New York, at a prominent New Hampshire law firm, and in the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Concord. In 2023, she was recognized by New England Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in the field of Business Litigation. She joins Preti Flaherty’s Concord, New Hampshire, office following three years as a litigation associate at two notable law firms in Manchester, New Hampshire.

Tiffany Ottenga is a graduate of Chicago-Kent College Law School and Stetson University. While at Chicago-Kent, Tiffany was a junior associate on the Chicago-Kent Law Review and held externships at Animal Outlook in Washington, D.C. as well as with the Hon. Eve R. Reilly of the Circuit Court of Cook County Chancery Division in Chicago. Tiffany also was a law clerk at a notable law firm in Chicago. She joins Preti Flaherty following two years as a staff attorney at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
