Eric Stauffer Honored with Public Policy Award from Maine Real Estate Development Association

Portland, Maine– Preti Flaherty attorney Eric P. Stauffer received the 2015 Public Policy Award from the Maine Real Estate Development Association (MEREDA) at its annual Real Estate Forecast Conference on January 22. The Public Policy Award is presented each year to a MEREDA member whose efforts have had a significant impact on public policy decisions for the benefit of responsible real estate development in Maine. Stauffer has been an integral part of MEREDA for many years, serving previously as a board member and also as a long-time participant on the legislative and executive committees.

At Preti Flaherty, Stauffer practices with the Business Law, Construction Law, and Real Estate Practice Groups and is the former Business Law Group Chair. He handles  all types of commercial transactions, with emphasis on buying and selling businesses, structuring business relationships, lending transactions, construction contracting and technology procurement.

MEREDA is a non-profit organization which promotes the responsible development and ownership of real estate across Maine through legislative advocacy, regulatory oversight and by serving as a unified and proactive representative for real estate and  economic development interests.
