Attorneys Sig Schutz, Jon Piper, and Alex Harriman Selected by MLRC to Co-author Survey of Maine Libel Law

Preti Flaherty attorneys Sig Schutz, Jon Piper, and Alex Harriman have been selected by the Media Law Resource Center (MLRC) as co-authors of the forthcoming Maine Chapter of the 2022-2023 edition of the MLRC 50-State Survey: Media Libel Law.

The annual MLRC 50-State Surveys are prepared by attorneys selected for their extensive knowledge in their respective fields and jurisdictions, and provide comprehensive coverage of media libel, media privacy, and employment libel and privacy law throughout the United States, Canada, and England.

The Media Libel Law edition offers a focus on defamation law through an in-depth examination of cases and issues arising in a media context, including illustrative examples of substantive law, procedural matters, pertinent statutes, and constitutional provisions.

Preti Flaherty’s Media Law Practice Group is the largest dedicated team of media law attorneys in northern New England. They represent leading regional and national media trade associations, publishers, and broadcasters.
