Preti Flaherty Welcomes Attorney Timothy McCormack to the Firm

Preti Flaherty is pleased to announce that attorney Timothy McCormack has joined the firm’s Litigation Practice Group, working in the Portland, Maine, office.

Tim is highly skilled in the field of whistleblower litigation and an accomplished mediator. The clients he has counseled through “Qui Tam” whistleblower actions have resulted in hundreds of millions of dollars recovered for the federal government and a variety of states nationwide.

Tim is a graduate of the University of Maine School of Law and Harvard University. While in law school, he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Maine Law Review and held clerkships with the Hon. D. Brock Hornby of the U.S. District Court for the District of Maine and the Hon. Fred I. Parker of the U.S. Second Circuit Court of Appeals. Following law school, Tim served as a policy advisor for labor, agriculture, forestry, and veterans’ issues for U.S. Senator Susan M. Collins.

Tim joins Preti Flaherty following several years at a notable law firm in Maine and partnerships at two prominent law firms in Washington, D.C.

Preti Flaherty’s Managing Partner, David Van Slyke, said, “Tim’s nearly two-decade-long record of success distinguishes him as a powerhouse, and we are excited to have him join our firm. His skill and dedication exemplify the type of results-driven litigator we look for as we continue to identify ways to evolve and expand service to our clients.”
